DELIVERY DRIVER – Victoria, BC
Scandesigns Furniture along with Muse and Merchant are locally owned with 11 stores in B.C. We are currently hiring a full time furniture delivery driver for our Langford store. We offer competitive wages and benefits package.
Duties will include:
- Work with a partner to safely transport our products from our warehouse and into to our customers’ homes while providing excellent customer service.
- Loading and unloading furniture.
- Problem-solve and handle customer’s questions
- Work in the warehouse when not out on deliveries
Qualifications we need:
- Have a clean driver’s abstract.
- The ability to lift and move large and heavy items in a safe manner
- Great customer service skills and friendly demeanor
- Available to work Tuesday-Saturday
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE – Coquitlam, BC
ScanDesigns was founded in 1976 and is a locally owned family run company. We have 6 stores and a main distribution centre. We are looking for a Customer Service Associate to work closely with our Warehouse Manager. Your primary role will be the go-to person for all customer service issues and be considered the resolution specialist in sorting all service-related issues between our vendors and our customers. Problem-solving and efficient execution of problem-solving will be your passion
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answering incoming phone calls
- Create daily delivery schedules
- Contact customers regarding delivery & service appointments
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
- Identify customer service issues and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents
- Assisting with light warehouse duties, including part inspections and keeping an orderly environment, etc.
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Completing additional project work and assigned tasks when required
Skills & Attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
- Takes accountability, identifies, executes, and drives actions to consistently achieve desired results.
- Able to follow and carry out instructions with minimal supervision.
- Strong organization and clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and solution-oriented.
- Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities

WAREHOUSE DISPATCHER – Coquitlam, BC
Thank you for your interest to join the ‘ScanDesigns’ and ‘Muse & Merchant’ warehouse team, and for choosing to be part of our especially important process of providing quality home furnishings to our customers! As a dispatcher you are required to perform an array of functions listed below.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Assist customers face to face and by answering / making phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Check-in merchandise, open crates, and other containers housing stock.
- Prepare customers’ orders by; pulling items from warehouse locations; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery and picking-up area and getting the product ready for pick-up/delivery.
- Maintain inventory control by stock location numbers, facilitate customers’ orders as per daily picklist, record amounts of materials or items received and input accurate counts and relevant updates into the company’s systems.
- Sort through returned customers’ orders into allocated zones / departments as per returned product conditions.
- Schedule service orders and follow up on their progress to ensure deadlines are met.
- Contact customers to arrange pick-ups of their serviced products.
- Contact customers to confirm their delivery timeslots within allocated delivery dates.
- Be a trustworthy associate to the warehouse manager and assist with any tasks / duties at hand as requested in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, walkways, racking isles and workstations neat and free of tripping hazards.
- Identify potential hazards and report them immediately, take active initiative to eliminate future hazards.
- Always organize work area for orderliness in adherence to the stock control processes.
- Communicate well with the team of warehouse associates and colleagues at management and sales departments.
- Focus on company product quality and control its integrity by taking great care when handling the product and its components.
- Wear Company provided Health and Safety protective equipment and comply to the H&S policies and Procedures as per BC H&S act.
- Assist team leaders with any work-related requests that may be outside of the warehouse facility, but within the company’s grounds.

- Regularly required to use hands to grasp, pull, lift, carry, hold, secure of products and its parts / components, as well as handle or feel (for quality control purposes), reach with hands and arms above head level and be able to stoop / bend down to the ground level without difficulty.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-100lbs, occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, push / pull items and equipment.
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance at height.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
Remuneration and benefits

Essential duties and responsibilities
- Assist to unload our vendors trucks and checking-in merchandise.
- Prepare customers’ orders by; pulling items from warehouse locations; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery and picking-up area.
- Sort and place parts or ready-made items on racks, shelves or in bins adhering to organizational standards, following strict itemized location guidelines.
- Open crates, and other containers housing stock.
- Maintain inventory control by stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer.
- Assist in counting of physical inventory.
- Sort through returned customers’ orders into allocated zones as per returned product conditions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, walkways, racking isles and workstations neat and free of tripping hazards.
- Some cleaning duties including but not limited to; sweeping, dusting, and moping whenever deemed necessary.
- Identify potential hazards and report them immediately, take active initiative to eliminate future hazards.
- Always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness in adherence to the stock control processes.
- Communicate well with the team of warehouse associates and colleagues at management and sales departments.
- Focus on company product quality and control its integrity by taking great care when handling the product and its components.
