Glass Care

GLASS CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Why It Matters

Glass table tops are elegant and timeless additions to your home or office. With proper care, tempered glass surfaces can last for many years while keeping their clarity and shine.

Tempered glass is chemically treated to endure more pressure than regular glass — but that doesn’t mean it’s indestructible. A little maintenance goes a long way.

Prevent Scratches

Avoid placing items with sharp edges or rough bases directly on the surface — including books, toys, or décor. If you want to display coffee table books or vases, consider using a soft runner or felt pads to protect the glass.

Cleaning Tips

Spray a quality glass cleaner onto a clean, lint-free cloth — not directly onto the glass. This helps avoid damaging nearby wood or metal finishes. Avoid using paper towels as they can leave lint behind.

Skip any cleaners containing ammonia or acid, and never use abrasive scrubbers. For an eco-friendly solution, mix equal parts white vinegar and water, apply to the surface, and wipe with newspaper for a streak-free shine.

For fast results, light aerosol foam cleaners also work well, leaving your tabletop sparkling with just a quick spray and wipe.

Tip: Always lift items instead of sliding them across the glass to avoid scratches — even small grit can act like sandpaper on the surface.
