Wood Care

Wood Furniture Care Instructions

Normal Cleaning

Dust regularly with a slightly damp, soft, lint-free cloth. Always follow the direction of the wood grain to avoid scratching or dulling the finish. Immediately wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth.

For everyday spills, act quickly — liquids left too long may seep into the finish or cause staining. Use a damp cloth to clean, then dry thoroughly.

Risk Management

To maintain the beauty and integrity of your wood furniture, take preventative steps to minimize wear and damage:

  • Use coasters for glasses, mugs, and cups to prevent moisture damage.
  • Place glass tops on felt pads to avoid surface scratches.
  • Avoid placing potted plants directly on wood unless they're fully water-tight or on a drip tray.
  • Use protective pads under pottery, heavy decor, or rough-bottomed objects.
  • Keep furniture away from direct sunlight and heat to prevent fading, cracking, or warping.
Tip: Avoid using household cleaners or polishes that contain silicone or ammonia. These can cloud the finish and cause long-term damage. Use only products made specifically for wood care.
